About Us
Process Insights' founder, Bill Worthington, enjoyed a successful
38-year career in applied information technology. During his
assignment as manufacturing systems manager, Bill realized
that few, if any, of the systems implemented yielded the returns
that they had promised, despite working as specified. Around this
time, Bill developed a relationship with the Manufacturing Vice
President of one of the operating divisions. This partnership led
to the discovery that the underlying processes to which these
systems were being applied were “broken.” In order to effect any
lasting change, the underlying processes needed to be
addressed. In the early '90s, in conjunction with manufacturing
executives, line supervisors, process engineers and supply chain
managers, the Process Insights (Pi) methodology was developed
and put into practice. This methodology for process and
productivity improvement provided operational units a framework
to analyze their processes and implement improvements for
lasting systemic change. It has been used successfully to solve
a variety of process issues both internally and in partnership with
customers and suppliers. It has been applied to manufacturing,
non-manufacturing and supply chain problems and has been the
vehicle by which unique opportunities have been identified and
exploited for significant gains. Process Insights focuses on the
client's unique problem or opportunity. It is designed to produce
rapid, lasting results and increased profitability.
