Our NEW LAR™ QuickTOCuv II™ water analyzer is state of the art and has more great features. In addition to a slim design and an IP65 housing, the new online TOC/ TC analyzer can also determine COD and BOD values using correlation factors. The measuring ranges can be adjusted by individual user input. The measurement system is controlled by a user-friendly 4″ PLC with touch screen. The QuickTOCuv II is ideal for fast and reliable online monitoring in pure, drinking, surface and wastewater. it is ideal for continuous online determination of total carbon (TC), total organic carbon (TOC), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and chemical oxygen demand (COD) in pure water.
The QuickTOCuv II process controls have been optimized in all areas. Additional sensors and carrier gas preparation are optional. Reliable operation is guaranteed by the separation of the analytical compartment from the electronics and by the use of high-quality materials. Also, the QuickTOCuvII automatically carries out regular checks to assess correct function of NDIR detector by zero-point correction and sensitivity tests. This ensures that any deviations are rapidly detected and guarantees precise results. It uses the UV persulfate method. In addition, different versions of the measuring device can be supplied, and it can thus also be used in Ex zones. TOC determination is carried out in accordance with the standards DIN EN 1484:1997 and US-EPA 415.2.
The QuickTOCuv II water analyzer is used in a wide range of industries:
Municipal Water Treatment: The analyzer is used to monitor the quality of drinking water in municipal water treatment plants to ensure that it meets regulatory standards for safe consumption.
Industrial Water Treatment: The analyzer is used to monitor the quality of process water in industrial facilities, such as power plants, chemical plants, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, to ensure that it meets the required standards for production processes and environmental compliance.
Wastewater Treatment: The analyzer is used to monitor the quality of wastewater in treatment facilities to ensure that it meets regulatory standards before being discharged into the environment.
Environmental Monitoring: The analyzer is used to monitor the quality of surface water and groundwater in lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water to assess the impact of human activities on the environment.
Research and Development: The analyzer is also used in research and development to study the behavior of organic compounds in water, to develop new technologies for water treatment, and to evaluate the effectiveness of existing water treatment methods.
This water analyzer is a versatile device used to monitor the levels of Total Organic Carbon in water samples across a range of industries, including municipal water treatment, industrial water treatment, wastewater treatment, environmental monitoring, and research and development.

The QuickTOCuv II analyzer determines Total Organic Carbon (TOC) using the UV persulfate method:
Sample Oxidation: A sample of the water is mixed with a solution of persulfate and a catalyst, and the mixture is heated to a high temperature. This causes the organic compounds in the sample to be oxidized into carbon dioxide (CO2).
CO2 Detection: The carbon dioxide that is produced during the oxidation process is detected by a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector. The detector measures the amount of CO2 that is produced, which is proportional to the amount of organic compounds that were present in the sample.
Calibration: Before the analysis can be performed, the instrument must be calibrated using a known concentration of a standard solution. This allows the instrument to accurately measure the concentration of TOC in the sample.
Calculation: Once the calibration is complete, the instrument calculates the concentration of TOC in the sample by multiplying the measured concentration of CO2 by a conversion factor that takes into account the amount of sample that was analyzed and the dilution factor.
