Our industrial mass spectrometers use cutting-edge EXTREL™ Quadrupole mass spectrometer technology to deliver fast, continuous online gas monitoring for industrial process control.   It has the speed necessary to analyze the total composition of a sample in seconds and can be fully automated to measure several points in a process, or multiple production lines, with a single analyzer.

The mass spectrometer uses an ionizer to break sample molecules into charged fragment ions that are then separated based on their mass-to-charge ratio as they move through the electric fields generated by the quadrupole mass filter. The ions register a current at the detector, creating a set of peaks called a mass spectrum. Each compound has a unique spectrum, making mass spectrometry a highly selective, flexible technique.  Simultaneously trend high precision measurements of bulk components and ppm-level contaminants with the easy-to-use Questor5 control software.

With near-zero mass scale drift for outstanding measurement precision and stability, it delivers uniform resolution across the entire mass range for ultra-high sensitivity to all compounds.  It is extremely resistance to corrosion and contamination for long-term, continuous, low-maintenance operation.  Our quadrupole mass spectrometers provide the rugged stability and ease-of-use necessary for continuous operation in demanding manufacturing environments.

Fixed Magnet Mass Spectrometry Technology

Our fixed magnetic sector MGA™ mass spectrometer analyzers provide rapid, accurate and stable real-time analysis of up to 16 gas components in significantly less than 1 second. The unique combination of parallel spectrum processing and rapid stream selection makes this the world’s fastest available process gas analyzer with new stream analysis data provided every 2-3 seconds.

Rugged cybersecure communication options come standard.  Designed with IIoT in mind, the control architecture is based on the Modicon M580 ePAC programmed with EcoStruxure Control Expert software. The touch-screen HMI provides full support for secure role-based access permissions and stored audit trails for end-to-end cybersecurity. The hazardous area compliant HMI provides full access to system configuration, real-time data, stored data, system status and diagnostics. The native ethernet control architecture provides industrial connectivity for SCADA, DCS, SIS and Data Historians.
