Monte Hammouri, Process Insights

Monte Hammouri

Chief Executive Officer & Board Director
Monte Hammouri joined Process Insights as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director in March 2018.  Prior to joining Process Insights, Hammouri served as a Group Executive at Illinois Tool Works Inc. (“ITW”) from 2011 to 2018 overseeing the ITW Contamination Control Worldwide and ITW Specialty Materials (China/APAC) platforms.  Prior to ITW, Hammouri held a number of senior executive roles at IDEX Corporation in the Fluid & Metering Technologies Segment, as well as at Danaher Corporation in the Danaher Power Solutions platform prior to divesting it to Thomas & Betts.
 
Hammouri brings over 25 years of leadership and global strategy experience to Process Insights.  In addition to leading global, complex and diversified manufacturing portfolios, he served in a number of multi-year, senior expat assignments in the ME and APAC.  Hammouri earned a Master of Business Administration in International Business and Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Toledo.
Neil Hekking, Process Insights

Neil Hekking

Chief Financial Officer
Neil Hekking joined Process Insights as Chief Financial Officer in April 2018.  Prior to joining Process Insights, Hekking worked in Private Equity for the last ten years, most recently as Chief Financial Officer for RPUI.  Prior to that, Hekking also held a senior role as Corporate Controller for TASI for eight years where he was heavily involved in the acquisitions of multiple European companies.

Hekking brings to Process Insights a wealth of deep knowledge and experience in M&A transactions including due diligence and strategic analysis, as well as post acquisition purchase accounting on both the sale and buy sides.  Hekking also has 20 years of international experience including expat assignments to Beaune, France and Basel, Switzerland.  Hekking earned his Bachelor of Science in International Relations/Political Science from Brigham Young University and his MBA in International Finance from the University of South Carolina.  Hekking is bilingual being fluent in both English and French.  Hekking and his wife keep busy with the various activities related to their six children.

Ramesh Krishnappan

Chief Operating Officer
Ramesh Krishnappan, as a seasoned executive with over a decade of experience, has a proven track record of driving growth and improving profitability in various leadership roles. He served as Vice President of Operations at Eagleburgmann, overseeing six manufacturing plants and engineering in the Americas. In this role, he achieved record net sales of $143 million in 2023, representing an 11.6% growth, and have successfully doubled production, relocated operations, and implemented SAP S4 HANA. Previously, he held various leadership positions within Eagleburgmann, including Vice President of Operations in Dalian, China, where he reduced footprint, implemented complexity management, and launched a new product line. As Managing Director in Chennai, India, he turned around the Indian business from a -7% to 8% return on sales in just 1.5 years. Additionally, he served as Senior Business Development Director in Dubai, UAE, where he developed the aftermarket business through retrofits and repairs.
Ramesh is Green Belt certified in Lean.  Throughout his career, Ramesh has demonstrated expertise in operations management, business development, and team leadership, with a strong ability to drive results and achieve business objectives.

As COO, Ramesh will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Process Insights, driving strategic initiatives, and leading the development of its long-term vision. He is passionate about building high-performing teams, driving process improvements, and leveraging technology to drive business outcomes.

Chief Commercial Officer

Joe Schwab joined Process Insights as Vice President of Business Development in June 2019 and was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer in October 2020.  Prior to joining Process Insights, Schwab was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Block Engineering, following 14 years at AMETEK, serving in progressive senior leadership roles in Sales, Marketing and P&L management, most recently serving as a Divisional Vice President.  Other prior experience includes Applications Engineering, Territory & Regional Sales Management, and Business Unit Leadership roles at ABB.

​Schwab brings 30 years of commercial, technical, P&L and M&A experience in the process analysis, process instrumentation and process technologies markets worldwide.  Schwab earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from West Virginia University, along with continuing education in financial, merger and acquisition programs.

Dr. Mark Newton

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Mark Newton has more than 25 years of experience shaping technology roadmaps and strategy for science, engineering and manufacturing organizations. Having led large global enterprises as well as equity backed businesses, his successes include launching a lifesaving remote gas monitoring business, developing a clean energy fuel-cell and sensing solution, and building a AI based medical multispectral vision control system. Prior to joining Process Insights, Mark was responsible for building, mentoring and growing multiple engineering, R&D, and innovation teams. He spent almost 20 years working in, and leading technology strategy at W.L. Gore & Associates, accelerating product development and as global technology leader, was instrumental in making GORETEX® XCR the most successful product launch in Gore’s history.

Mark has authored/coauthored over 20 scientific papers and journal articles, has been published in The Wall Street Journal and Fortune magazine, as well as featured on the BBC, CNN, CBS and ABC. He is active in academia and is passionate about teaching and mentoring science students.

Luca Marinelli

Global VP of Sales

With a background in global sales, business development, and product management, Luca Marinelli served as a Spectris Director and as member of the Servomex Board. Throughout his career, he has held various positions with increasing responsibilities at Honeywell and Servomex, progressing from Sales Manager to General Manager, and eventually to Vice President of Sales in America and Europe. Since 1991, Luca started as a young product manager for Saes Pure Gas, where he initiated the penetration of the Asian semiconductor industry, selling Italian technology including gas, purifiers, analyzers, and CQC. 

Luca is bilingual in English and Italian, and proficient in business-level French and Spanish, and holds bachelor’s degree in Geology, and an MBA.  He is also Green Belt certified.

Erin Williamson

Global VP, Human Resources

Erin Williamson joined Process Insights in 2023 as Global Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining Process Insights, Williamson spent over 15 years in the oil and gas industry, most recently as HR Director for Worldwide Oilfield Machine (WOM), from 2021-2023.  Prior to WOM, Erin worked for nearly 15 years at Schlumberger in various HR roles.

Williamson brings a wealth of knowledge in human resources, including extensive experience in compensation, compliance, employee relations, development and engagement. In addition to her HR knowledge, she has been trained in The Predictive Index, an assessment tool used to better understand employee and candidate behaviors. Williamson earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of New Haven.

Erika Coyne, Process Insights

Dr. Erika Coyne was promoted to Group President of Tiger Optics and Extrel CMS in January 2021.  Dr. Coyne had previously been the President of Tiger Optics since June 2018.  Prior to that, Dr. Coyne held the Chief Operating Officer role since February 2018.  During her tenure at Tiger Optics, Dr. Coyne held various progressive leadership positions and was instrumental in driving the company’s growth.  Dr. Coyne joined Tiger Optics in 2009 as Manager of New Product Development, responsible for driving innovation with a focus on design for manufacturing.  Dr. Coyne was later promoted to Business Manager for the Gases & Chemical Division, spearheading widespread acceptance of Tiger Optics’ laser-based analyzers in the Industrial Gas sector, by leveraging the premium brand, proven performance and strategic management of global accounts and sales channels.

With deep technical knowledge and management experience, Dr. Coyne brings cross-functional expertise in R&D, Sales/Marketing and Operations, along with a passion for continuous improvement.  She received a B.S. in Chemistry from University of Richmond, and a Ph.D. from University of Pennsylvania in Physical Chemistry, focusing on gas analysis using laser spectroscopy.

Scott Fleishner

EVP Aftermarket Services

Scott Fleishner currently serves as Executive Vice President and General Manager for Process Insights Technical Services Division – Americas Region.  Fleishner joined Process Insights through the acquisition of Extrel CMS, LLC in March 2020 when he was promoted to Acting President until December 2020.  Prior to Process Insights, Fleishner spent 16 years with Extrel CMS in various senior leadership roles including Vice President of Customer Service, Vice President of Sales, Service & Marketing, Vice President of Operations, and most recently, Director of Technical Support.  Before joining Extrel CMS, Fleishner was Sonix Marketing Manager for Sensus.  Fleishner brings over 15 years of extensive technical experience in mass spectrometry and analytical instrumentation. 

Fleishner holds a BS in Communications & Marketing from Duquesne University.

Terri Melle-Johnson

Director of Global Marketing | ESG Chairperson

Terri Melle-Johnson joined Process Insights in March 2021 as Director of Global Marketing, bringing over 22 years of experience in B2B marketing, public relations, social media, branding, demand generation, account-based marketing, and global event management across various industries, including oil & gas, energy, chemical, life sciences, and pharmaceuticals.

In her role, Terri serves as the Brand Acquisition Strategist, collaborating closely with senior leadership, newly acquired businesses, and cross-functional teams to align with Process Insights’ vision, mission, and strategic goals.

Prior to joining Process Insights, Terri held progressive marketing leadership roles at Emerson and Servomex, including Global Marketing Communications Manager and Global PR Events Marketing Manager.

As a visionary marketing leader and brand strategist, Terri has a proven track record of driving business growth, redefining brand identities, and leading high-performing teams. Her expertise includes digital transformation, data-driven marketing, and customer-centric storytelling, with a focus on crafting compelling brand narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Throughout her career, Terri has developed and executed innovative marketing strategies, resulting in significant increases in brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Her expertise spans marketing automation, content marketing, social media, and team leadership.

Terri is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in marketing and is committed to creating campaigns that reflect the complexity and richness of our global community. She is a sought-after speaker and thought leader in the industry, recognized with numerous awards and accolades.

Terri holds a bachelor’s degree in business management & administration with a minor in Finance from Wilmington College.

Erika Coyne, Process Insights

Benjamin Mattejiet

Managing Director, EMEA

Benjamin Mattejiet is Managing Director of Process Insights EMEA. Benjamin joined Process Insights in January 2018 through the acquisition of LAR Process Analysers AG. Prior to that, he had already worked at LAR since 2008. During this time, he was responsible for various positions and roles in the field of marketing and carried out projects in digitalization. After joining Process Insights, Benjamin was promoted to Marketing Communications Manager and has actively managed and driven key digitalization projects such as the implementation of ERP, Business Intelligence and CRM system. In the summer of 2020, Benjamin opened the Process Insights sales office in Frankfurt and has been the site manager ever since. At the same time, he has successfully managed and led the fortunes of sales as Director Marketing and Sales EMEA. In fall 2023, he took over operational responsibility for the production site in Switzerland. In January 2024, Benjamin was promoted to Director Special Project EMEA APAC to manage strategic projects at Group level. In May 2024, he was appointed Managing Director of PI EMEA.

Benjamin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on Finance and Marketing from The Berlin School of Economics and Law.

Sharon Gao

General Manager, China

Sharon Gao joined Process Insights China as Director of Business & Administration in August 2019 and was promoted to General Manager of Process Insights China in July 2021.

Prior to joining Process Insights, Gao served as HR and Administration Manager at ITW Contamination Control in Wujiang and ITW Specialty Materials in Suzhou.   She also previously worked at Lelon Electronics Corp as a HR and Administration Supervisor.

Gao holds a Masters Degree of Applied Psychology from the Nankai University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Changzhou Institute University.
