MBW Calibration

Gold Standard in Calibration

MBW Calibration

MBW Calibration AG was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Wettingen, Switzerland. As of 2025, the company is 63 years old. MBW specializes in developing and manufacturing high-precision chilled mirror dew point hygrometers and humidity generators, serving industries such as calibration laboratories, compressed air systems, fuel cells, and battery manufacturing. In December 2020, MBW Calibration AG was acquired by Process Insights, joining a portfolio of premium brands in process instrumentation.

Most notably, MBW instruments provide the calibration traceability for many laboratories such as humidity instrument manufacturers and National Metrology Institutes.

MBW dew point mirrors continue to be chosen as transfer standards for inter-laboratory comparisons both regionally and internationally. With recent requirements for higher performance humidity measurement in the meteorological industry, MBW are increasingly the preferred supplier for low uncertainty measurement and calibration systems to National Meteorological and Hydrological Service organizations.

As a DAkkS-accredited laboratory operating under ISO/IEC 17025, our calibration services provide traceable, internationally recognized results that help manufacturers, laboratories, research institutions, and industrial facilities maintain compliance, improve product quality, and reduce measurement uncertainty.

Calibration Services for Process Instruments: Best Practices and Standards

Too many operations spend time chasing moisture readings they do not fully trust. Repeated calibrations, inconsistent measurements, and uncertainty. When process conditions become critical, uncertainty is not just frustrating. It is expensive.

Full process confidence starts with knowing the moisture value is correct.
That is why our chilled mirror measurement technology remains the trusted gold standard for precision humidity and moisture analysis. Instead of relying on inferred values, chilled mirror technology delivers direct, drift-free measurement you can trust when accuracy matters most.

MBW CALIBRATION™ instruments from Process Insights deliver:
✔ Reliable and accurate moisture measurements
✔ Drift-free performance
✔ High precision for demanding applications
✔ Confidence in every result
