Dew Point Chilled Mirror Analyzer

573 Dew Point cHILLED Mirror Hygrometer

Measures Dew Points Above Ambient Temperature

The MBW CALIBRATION™ MODEL 573™ Dew Point Chilled Mirror Analyzer is a high performance 19″ rack format instrument that is very well suited to fixed industrial installations. The MODEL 573 is equipped with an integral measurement head, pressure sensor, sample pump and flow meter for continuous precision monitoring of frost/dew point and absolute humidity values across a wide range of applications.

The MODEL 573 Dew Point Chilled Mirror Analyzer is very similar in specification to the MODEL 973 but adds the capability to measure dew points above the ambient temperature thanks to versions with heated measuring heads and sampling tubes. A special option on the MODEL 573H and MODEL 573HX variants is an automated steam trap that provides user-controlled draining of condensation collected during operation at dew points up to 95˚C.

It is a high-performance instrument designed to provide accurate and reliable measurements of dew point temperature in industrial and laboratory environments. It uses a chilled mirror sensor to measure dew point temperature, which is the temperature at which moisture in a gas condenses into liquid form.

FEATURES

Some of the key features and benefits of the MODEL 573 Dew Point Chilled Mirror Analyzer include:

  • High accuracy: Capable of measuring dew point temperatures as low as -100°C (-148°F) with an accuracy of ±0.1°C (±0.18°F). This makes it suitable for use in a wide range of applications where precise control of humidity levels is critical.
  • Fast response time:  Has a fast response time, allowing it to quickly detect changes in dew point temperature and respond accordingly. This is especially important in applications where rapid changes in humidity levels can occur, such as in industrial processes and environmental monitoring.
  • User-friendly interface: Features a large, easy-to-read display and intuitive menu navigation, making it easy to operate and configure. It also has a variety of output options, including analog and digital signals, making it easy to integrate into existing systems or data loggers.
  • Robust design: Built to withstand harsh industrial environments, with a rugged aluminum housing and a heated mirror assembly that prevents frost and condensation from forming on the mirror surface.
  • Versatility: Can be used in a wide range of applications and industries, including environmental monitoring, industrial processes, HVAC systems, and more. It is also available in a variety of configurations to suit specific application requirements, such as the addition of a built-in sample conditioner or a range of different power options.

It is ideal for use in industrial and laboratory environments where precise measurement of dew point temperature is critical.

        Heated Hoses

When measuring dew point above ambient temperature, condensation will form in sample lines where the tube/hose temperature is below the dew point temperature. Heated sample hoses solve this problem by maintaining the tube temperature at a higher temperature. MBW supply heated sample hoses in a range of lengths and fittings to suit most applications.

The heated hose only provides sample path heating upto the inlet connection of the instrument. To avoid condensation inside the instrument, its internal sample path and measuring head must also be heated.
