SPANCHECK

Spancheck™ is a feature found in some of our COSA XENTAUR  dew point meters and transmitters that allows users to easily check the calibration of the instrument in the field. The Portable XPDM Dew Point Meter has Spancheck.  This feature is important because it helps ensure the accuracy and reliability of the instrument over time, especially if the instrument has been subjected to harsh conditions or if it has not been calibrated for a while.  Here are some reasons why Spancheck in the field is good:

  • Ensures accuracy:  Allows users to quickly and easily check the accuracy of the instrument in the field, without the need for additional equipment or specialized skills. This helps ensure that the instrument is providing accurate and reliable measurements, which is crucial in many industrial and commercial applications.
  • Saves time and money: Eliminates the need to send the instrument back to the manufacturer or a calibration lab for periodic calibration checks, which can be time-consuming and costly. Instead, users can perform a quick and simple calibration check in the field, reducing downtime and saving money.
  • Increases productivity: Allows users to check the calibration of the instrument on-site, without the need for additional equipment or specialized skills. This helps increase productivity and efficiency, as users can quickly verify the accuracy of the instrument and continue with their work.
  • Reduces risk: Helps reduce the risk of inaccurate measurements, which can lead to costly errors or safety hazards in certain applications. By allowing users to easily verify the calibration of the instrument in the field, Spancheck helps ensure that the instrument is providing accurate and reliable measurements at all times.
