Our MBW chilled mirror analyzers have a typical service life of more than 15 years thanks to the use of high-quality materials and Swiss precision engineering. The high-quality platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) element embedded within the mirror ensures excellent long-term measurement stability. Thanks to the precise dew point and temperature measurements as well as the stability and long service life, our chilled mirrors are used by national standards and accredited laboratories worldwide.

MBW KNOWS CALIBRATION

As our name implies, calibration is at the heart of everything we do. Our chilled mirror dew point hygrometers are the gold standard for calibrating relative humidity and dew point sensors used across a wide range of commercial applications. We proudly supply nearly every major humidity instrument manufacturer with the high-performance transfer standards essential to their production and calibration processes.

We operate multiple calibration systems across production, development, and testing environments. All equipment is traceable to our own accredited calibration laboratory, and where required, to external calibration bodies. We actively participate in bilateral comparisons and have supplied equipment for most International Key Comparisons over the past 15 years.

Every instrument we manufacture undergoes a factory calibration to verify its performance specifications. This same service is available for routine maintenance and recalibration needs.

Our DAkks accredited calibration service meets the highest standards demanded by quality systems and accredited validation protocols. Our calibration uncertainties are on par with the best laboratories in the global metrology community. We are accredited for humidity and temperature accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The measurement uncertainties for our calibration services are amongst the lowest worldwide. We offer short lead times for all types of hygrometers.  Our calibration laboratory uses calibration stations based on primary realization for the lowest uncertainties, and also commercial humidity generators for calibration by comparison. SI traceability is from MBW dew point mirror transfer standards, SPRT’s and the triple point of water. Through the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA) our calibration certificates are internationally recognized and suitable for evidence of traceability in all ILAC MRA signatory countries.
