Quick TOC eco
TOC Water Analyzer
TOC Online Water Analyzer for Process, Condensate Return and Cooling Water
Water Analysis With the Quick TOC eco Water Analyzer
Our LAR™ QuickTOCeco™ online TOC water analyzer is for the measurement of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) in water and process water, as condensate return and cooling water. At 1,200°C, the samples are completely oxidized, and the TOC result is determined within 3 minutes. The new online TOC analyzer can also determine COD and BOD values using correlation factors. The measurement system is controlled by a user-friendly 4″ PLC with touch screen.
Features & Benefits
The QuickTOCeco online TOC water analyzer offers several benefits:
- Exact determination of TC, TOC (TRUE TOC)
- Measurement Range: 1 – 10.000 ppm TOC, further options available
- Correlation to BOD and COD possible
- Highest combustion temperature available (1,200°C)
- Fast Response Time TOC: < 2 min. (TC); < 3-4 min. (TOC)
- Online determination of TOC, TC and NPOC according to DIN EN 1484:1997-08/ ISO 8245:1999-03/ US-EPA 415.1, Standard Methods 5310B, ASTM D5173, USEPA 9060 und DIN 38409-H3
- ISO 8245:1999-03/ US-EPA 415.1, Standard Methods 5310B, ASTM D5173, USEPA 9060and DIN 38409-H3
- Explosion protection Class I, Division 2, Zone 2 Groups ABCD
- Temperature Class: T4
- High accuracy: Uses a highly sensitive non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detection method to accurately measure TOC levels in water.
- Low maintenance: Has a low maintenance requirement due to its self-cleaning feature and long-lasting UV lamp.
- Easy installation: It is easy to install and can be integrated into existing monitoring systems.
- Cost-effective: The analyzer is cost-effective compared to other TOC monitoring methods, and its low maintenance requirement helps reduce operating costs.
- Environmentally friendly: Uses a green method for TOC analysis that is free of chemicals, making it an environmentally friendly option.
- Regulatory compliance: Helps facilities comply with regulatory requirements for water quality monitoring, such as those set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the European Union.

There are two different methodS used in the toc determination process
1- TC only method: The sample is transferred to the ceramic furnace, which oxides sample to CO2 at
1,200 ° C. The water vapor produced by oxidation is condensated by a cooler, remaining corrosive gases are then captured by the filters and CO2 continues to flow in the line thought to NDIR sensor and the output gives the result.
2- TOC Direct Method: The sample is first acidified with a diluted hydrochloric acid in TIC (Total Inorganic Carbon) reactor. There, carrier gas continually flows through the sample. Because of the low pH value (<2), the inorganics are removed from the sample. At the end of this process, it continues as TC only method.
