XDT Series
Dew Point Transmitter with Aluminum Oxide Sensor
Reliable XDT Series for dew point monitoring with Aluminum Oxide Sensors
Our COSA XENTAUR™ XDT™ Series dew point transmitters – for dew point monitoring with Aluminum Oxide Sensors are designed as compact, simple, and reliable instruments, which will continually monitor dew point in dry gases including Hydrocarbons, Instrument Air / Air Dryers, Hydrogen, and many more, from dew point levels to as low as -100ºC (-148ºF) up to +20ºC (+68ºF).
The XDT Series dew point transmitter takes full advantage of state-of-the-art microprocessor technology and offer many advanced intelligent features. With optional dual alarms, analog and digital outputs, our dewpoint transmitters can be used as indicators, alarm units or controllers.
benefits
- High accuracy: Provides highly accurate dew point temperature measurements, with an accuracy of up to ±3°C.
- Wide measuring range: Can measure dew point temperatures from as low as -100°C to as high as 20°C, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
- Fast response time: Provides real-time measurements, with a response time in a matter of seconds.
- User-friendly: Designed to be easy to use, with a clear and intuitive display and simple one-button operation.
- Versatile: Can be used to measure the moisture content of various gases including natural gas, compressed air, hydrogen, nitrogen, and more.
- Durable: Built to withstand harsh industrial environments and has a long service life.
The two optional alarm relays can be independently programmed to switch at any dew point with variable hysteresis, which makes the transmitter ideally suited as an energy saving controller for desiccant dryers in “dew point demand” mode or safety cutoff in process control, high power laser, etc. The status of the relays is shown on the display with flashing “HI” or “LO” indicators while displaying the dew point.
- HTF™ Sensor Technology (hyper-thin-film)
- Aluminum oxide sensors
- Multiple housing configurations
- Very low drift
- Long sensor life
SINGLE POINT AND SPANCHECK CALIBRATIONS
Single Point calibration and Spancheck™ are features found in both the XDT and the portable XPDM. These features enable COSA XENTAUR dew point meters users to easily check and perform field calibrations on the instrument.
Both functions are important as they help ensure the accuracy and reliability of the instrument over time, especially if the instrument has been subjected to drift, harsh conditions or has not been calibrated for a while. Here are some reasons why Single Point and Spancheck™ in the field are good:
- Ensures accuracy: Single Point Calibration allows users to quickly and easily check the accuracy of the instrument in the field, with a calibration standard. This helps ensure that the instrument is providing accurate and reliable measurements, which is crucial in many industrial and commercial applications.
- Calibration Standard: Performing a single point calibration on the XPDM allows it to become the daily calibration standard. Doing away with carting heavy cylinder calibration standards to multiple locations.
- Increases productivity: Decreases down time if exposed to liquids or excessive wet gas. Spancheck allows users to reset the calibration of the instrument on-site, without the need for additional equipment or specialized skills. This helps increase productivity and efficiency, as users can quickly verify the accuracy of the instrument and continue with their work while decreasing down time.
- Reduces risk: Helps reduce the risk of inaccurate measurements, which can lead to costly errors or safety hazards in certain applications. By allowing users easy calibration of the instrument in the field, Single Point and Spancheck help ensure that the instrument is providing accurate and reliable measurements at all times.
INDUSTRIES
Some of the industries that use the XDT Series dew point transmitters are:
- Natural Gas: Used in natural gas processing and transportation to ensure that the gas meets the required dew point specifications. Accurate measurement of dew point temperature is essential to prevent the formation of hydrates and ensure safe and efficient gas transport.
- Power Generation: Monitor the moisture content of the fuel gases and control the humidity of the air used in combustion. The XDT™ series helps to improve the efficiency of power generation and reduce the formation of pollutants.
- Petrochemical: Monitor the moisture content of various gases and liquids, such as ethylene and propylene. Accurate measurement of dew point temperature helps to prevent corrosion and ensure the quality of the final product.
- Pharmaceutical: Monitor the humidity and dew point temperature in clean rooms and other critical environments. Accurate control of humidity helps to maintain product quality and prevent contamination.
- Semiconductor Manufacturing: UHP and process gas analysis.
- Hydrogen Measurements: For end users and manufactures of Hydrogen.
