CRDS and APIMS Integrated System Capabilities

Monitoring high purity bulk gases is a waste of time and money?

  • Gas companies have improved process controls to produce ppb quality gases

  • Purifier companies have developed media to reach ppt levels

  • Gas delivery system manufacturers offer some of the cleanest “pieces” of any industry

The semiconductor industry is always pushing the entire supply chain to be better. Continuous quality control (CQC) systems continue to be a mainstay to verify gas quality on process is consistent, that is why we invest in CQCs.

Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy (CRDS) has become the analytical gold standard for continuous, stable and accurate process control offering cutting edge technology for:

  • SPC (statistical process control)

  • Early warning to minimize critical failure in pre and post purifier gas quality and or the gas delivery system

Traditional CQC systems use the same technologies from 30 years ago. If you do not use CRDS for process control, you are behind.

Our CRDS solution is the choice of global analytical teams because it is simply the best in all categories whether measuring ppt level stability or fastest response to gas quality changes.

  • Easy to use (no calibration required)

  • Far more accurate, continuous, stable and cost-effective when compared to any legacy offerings.

In addition to CRDS, our Atmospheric Pressure Ionization Mass Spectrometer (APIMS) is the most complete and sensitive in the market, and a standalone CQC. CRDS and APIMS products are far more flexible than other solutions and can be deployed as fixed or mobile solutions.

Easily Monitor Multiple Bulk Gases with a Single APIMS System

Gas quality monitoring is a requirement in electronics manufacturing. Process tools and gas storage require stringent limits on gas cleanliness. Although the quality of gas is verified by the gas manufacturer, this must be requalified and checked during storage and production at electronics manufacturing sites. The more gases required, the more costly quality monitoring is.

The Process Insights VeraSpec APIMS 4 Gas Cycler:

  • Gives users the high impurity detection performance of APIMS and extends the analysis capabilities of one system to multiple gases

  • Utilizing APIMS technology; unparalleled sensitivity of trace gas detection

  • Combining this capability with gas cycling saves customers money by centralizing multiple measurements with a single device.

  • New advancements, including nitrogen and argon detection in multiple bulk gases, allow for the elimination of multiple analyzer requirements. This reduces upfront capital investment and periodic maintenance costs.
